Lentils, used to be also called "meat of the poor" due to their high protein content.
This legume also contains a large amount of fiber, vitamin B and is low fat. It is suitable for diabetics, for people with anemia and also for pregnant women, mainly because of the folic acid that the lentils contains.
LARGE GRAIN LENTILS 250g - FROM OUR FARMER
Take over the lentils and rinse well. Leave to soak for 2 hours, then salt the water and cook under the lid over a low heat until the lentils is soft. Drain the water and add a piece of butter or a few drops of oil.
Lentils are especially suitable for soups or as a side dish to sausages.
