The halved lentils does not need to be soaked before preparation. This makes it very easy to prepare a tasty porridge or soup for soup.
Boil it in slightly salted water until 5-10 minutes until soft. Remove from heat, drain off excess water and add a few drops of oil or a piece of butter.
During heat treatment, the red lentils turns orange-brown. If you want to keep the color, add curry or turmeric to the cooking.
